Hi

I have just bought a Motorola Defy sim free from carphone warehouse (United Kingdom) and Im looking for setting so I can get the internet working.

I am with o2 pay monthly.

Step by step would be great as Im new to this phone and android.

Thank you very much

On my phone it's. Settings..wireless and networks..mobile networks..access point names..then menu key and add new apn. Hope this helps

Oh i forgot to mention you have to select it.

I have payandgo.o2.co.uk and wap.o2.co.uk , I have the first one selected as i am on it.

APN-Settings can be found under Settings > Wireless & Networks> Mobile Networks >Access point names. By pressing the menu key you can add a new APN.
Contact your service provider for APN settings.

That is all you should need. When you exit out of that screen 02 Should be listed under the apn screen. Maybe give 02 a ring ,when I bought my unlocked desire from carphone warehouse I just put my sim card in and it all worked without having to input anything

i rang o2 to get the settings and the told my they did not support the defy as it was a vodafone only handset!

try this https://motorola-global-en-uk.custhelp.com/app/utils/login_form/redirect/ask/p_country_code/GB you need to register but you can chat live to someone at motorola uk about your problems. it can definately be sorted as mine is working fine (albeit on pay and go)

good luck

Turns out o2 had npt enabled data on my contract, so they apologised and fixed it within the hour.

Phone and internet is all working perfect now.

Thanks for everyones help
