Yes. Im on Vodafone and i am having lots of problems!!! Updated and now every 15mins or so it flashes up with the vodafone screen, goes to no signal, disconnects wireless and runs media scanner on SD card. really frustrating!
Hi,
I did it on the phone itself by going to.
Settings > About Phone > Software Update. made a samsung account and it updated to 2.3.5.
I didnt know about KIES at the time, I've tried plugging my phone into computer and it just says i have the latest version.
Im on normal vodafone contract. And vodafone sent me the phone last week as an upgrade.
There is a similar thing going around i think. Found this youtube video of exactly the same thing. but i havent found a solution. Samsung Galaxy Ace wifi shut down reboot problem - YouTube
From what I've gathered from the Virgin forums it seems to be a virgin hub and router conflict. People have been getting round it by changing the lease time in their router/hub settings to around 2 weeks.
I can confirm this only happens when connected to wifi provided by Virgin media, had problems at my house and my parents house. Been at my girlfirends this weekend who has internet from sky and it has been fine!!
Samsung want me to send the phone back to them so they can look at it regarding this problem, but i have no idea what they will do as this is obviously a firmware problem. They did say they ahve had problems with over the air firmware updates which i did, however if it does the same after updating through Kies then i guess that isnt it..
