I have ver 20150517No It doesn't. Unless you're using 5.0.2 version, which is now itself obsolete. For 5.1.1 I included patch for ms323 keystore. This is not obsolete. NamelessRom for example needs this still
I'm on 5.1.1 version and the patch didn't remove the keystore. Then again it also didn't do the keys properly... Maybe because I used "clean to install new rom" but still, this is not obsoleteNo It doesn't. Unless you're using 5.0.2 version, which is now itself obsolete. A lot of people are reporting that on all 5.1.1 roms, including cm-12.1. There's a script at zip installing which regulates that (buttons, NFC, keystore...), and it seems that it doesn't always run for some people... I urge all users to use TWRP to flash ROMs (not saying you're not using it, just a heads up for everyone).I'm on 5.1.1 version and the patch didn't remove the keystore. I personally always wipe /data, /cache, /system and install pico PA gapps and I've never had a single problem with buttons and stuff.
I don't use TWRP (don't trust the formatting options. I did it once and it broke everything. Unless you can confirm it works the same as PhilZ.

flash twrp to recovery and philz to laf. That is, if you dare

The issue is - do you trust TWRP's formatting? If you've never had issues I'll try it again. I just hate how hard it is to do adb shell on TWRP is all.
