odd Play Store toast notification

Anyone getting some odd pop-up when updating apps? Both my GS3 and Nexus 10 give me this message while updating apps despite having well over 8gb free

"Internal storage: only 1.55mb left"

My Nexus 10 has given me this error. It was specifically while updating one app but I don't remember which it was.

It does not stop the app from updating but sometimes it causes slow performance on Play Store or a FC.

I have 8gb free. But I just updated lightflow and it popped up again ("internal storage: only 1.53mb left") and carried on. It only displays for a moment so I cannot screencap it. Is this a bug or a problem?

Only its not the usual download/install bug. This one I cannot find anywhere in Google. It almost always comes up though before 1) Play Store is at the 'installing' phase for an unrealistically longer time than normal, 2) Play Store is just about to crash, 3) before going to the 'loading circle of death' while attempting to browse apps while downloading.

Got that the other day on my HTC, I assumed something was triggering the prompt associated to the internal memory where the system rom is installed but wasn't concerned as my HTC isnt rooted.

I simply rebooted thinking something was crashing and have not seen it since.

Any possibility this is somehow connected to the up and coming launch of Kit Kat? My Nexus 10 experiences certain, shall we say, bugs, just before the little update notification comes up (such as my notification LED failing, as it has just started to do again )
