Root ODIN fails with error: There is no PIT partition.

i am trying to root my centura and have read about 5 forums and faqs and guides and find no solution to this error message.

when i use ODIN to try to put the cwm tarfile on my centura, it fails with the error message: There is no PIT partition.

how to fix?
 
i researched this for hours and finally learned it was bc i used a usb hub.

i unplugged the hub and went directly into the usb port. all worked. all fixed.
