Root odin roms to use to root

ok i came from the evo and well that was easy to root put cwr on it and flash now i am lost on the whole samsung thing and how to do all and when i tried a few of the methods i got nothing so is there a updated way to root and flash cwr just nned the help and guidence to get things rolling


i rooted many phone and jailbroke alot too but damn samsung kicking my arse

Use the tar version in the first post here for Clockwork. (Don't use ROM Manager, it's sorta borked for the Fascinate.)

But note that you need to (1) Odin the recovery tar with the battery out, so the phone turns off instead of rebooting when finished, and (2) enter recovery ("three button": vol up+vol down+power until you see the Samsung logo, then release power) and flash a custom kernel on the very first boot after Odining in Clockwork. The stock Samsung kernel will reflash non-Clockwork stock recovery on a full boot, so don't let it ever get there.

Any EB01/EC10/EC01/ED01 kernel will do. Closest to stock is EB01 nonvoodoo here, but I strongly suggest running one of the source-built Voodoo kernels with UV, Voodoo sound, etc.
