Off brand Android tablets

A friend of mine wants a 7" Android tablet and has very little money to spend. He keeps showing me these $60-$100 tablets on eBay. Some even have 4.2 Android and 16gb of ram. Do these things work? Do they have access to Google Play? I tried to get him to buy a Nexus 7 but he does not have the bucks. What are the limitations with these tablets?

I just bought a discount, no-name Tablet from China. (Aiga M80?)

8" Android 4.2.2 tablet with a 1.2GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A9 CPU, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB ROM, 1024x768 3D Graphics, 3G, 5MP rear camera, 0.3 front camera, provision for a 32 GB SD Card, ability to move apps to SD, etc...

Yeah, no GPS or Bluetooth though.

Antutu Benchmarks are in the 11,000's.

$109.00 (126.xx with shipping) and great customer service. Came with a 30-day warranty and the seller stated that if I needed to return it that they would refund me $21.99 for my trouble, or credit me $150.00 towards the purchase of a different tablet.

BTW, it arrived a week after ordering it.

If I get a year of use out of this tablet, I'll be happy. Especially since tablets will likely be considerably less expensive a year from now.

Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, NFL Rewind, etc...all look and run great with no lag or pixelation on WiFi.

I haven't tried 3G yet as I don't have a 3G dongle, but I imagine it wouldn't be good for much more than texting and email.

Oh, yeah. The display is as good if not better than a friends iPad mini and it cost 1/3 of the price. She's a bit envious and upset about paying over $300.00 for her iPad after seeing my Android Tablet.

BTW, they are both made in China...
