Office 2010 on the iPad`

At least I think this is cool . . .

I am running Microsoft Office on my iPad. Perhaps if there is interest, I'll post a little information.

You might see more interest posting a how-to on running MS Office on an iPad on an iPad-related forum...

Now, got info on how to do it on Android? Should be lots of interest here :)

Going with these two....last I saw it said "'Android' Forums" not...IPAD2/Microsoft Forums...You bought yourself an Ipad...good for you.

Are you trying to be insulting? Fact is, this is the computers and IT section of the Lounge where Anything goes. Perhaps a real moderator can explain the rules that pertain to this section of this forum.

No I just think it's funny how you're all like "I got MS Office to run on an IPad" at "Android Forums"...most folks don't really care. I am sure it's quite an accomplishment...but frankly, if you can get it to run on a Xoom or a Galaxy Tab, then I'm all ears.

Also I find it funny that you want to bring "maybe I should get the mods to educate you on the rules". I read them, nothing in my that was derogatory or hateful in there. It was more of a whoopty-do.

Bob is correct that here in the I.T. forum any non-Android specific technology topic is OK to discuss. And so long as we keep the tone reasonable we don't have to worry about the mod's poking around in these threads.

Well, I've got LibreOffice running on my G Tablet. Here's how:

* Install LibreOffice on a PC
* Install VNC
* Use VNC client to remote into PC

:)

Can work for any application. And, since storage on a mobile device tends to be at a premium, you can keep all your docs in one location, and access them anywhere, from any device.

Please do tell how you accomplished this! I have an ipad2 and currently use the app pages to do my work for MS Word and would love to be able to just use my office 2010
