OfficeSuite Pro 6 - CloudPrint Issues

Hi All,

I am trialling OfficeSuite Pro at the moment however I am having trouble printing. I am trying to use Google CloudPrint. I have added my printer but when I click on it to actually print I get the error "Error occurred while retrieving data from the server".

I can print using the "PrinterShare" 3rd party app which makes me think it is a problem with OfficeSuite.

Anyone got any idea what my problem could be?

I'm using a Galaxy Note 10.1 just in case it makes any difference

Thanks
Matt

Just tried it here, had the same problem.
I use an app called Cloud Print with Google, and it worked fine.

Humm thats strange. Maybe its a temporary bug? I'd like to be able to print straight from this app so that I don't have to save every file from my sugarsync account that I want to print

I have been in contact with Mobisystems about this same issue over the past several days...after two unsuccessful patch attempts with the beta version of Office Suite Pro 7.0, they sent me a link this morning to a version they say fixes the Google Cloud Print issue...the link connects to a direct download from their Web site.

I'd upload the file direct here as well but just ran into a security token issue...someone else is welcome to if they can bypass that.

I tried this, and it works with a test doc file connected to a Classic Printer (a Brother MFC series) via my Google Cloud Print account. I'm using a Motorola Atrix 2 MB865 with a lapdock.

It's necessary to have your printer fully set up and appear online through your Google Chrome account to get this to work - if the printer shows up as offline in your printer list when you look at it in Cloud Print, the print job will show as queued but not print. If you have a wireless printer connected through multiple computers or multiple accounts, it may appear more than once with one version showing as Offline. Per Google, there should be only one instance of each printer and it should not show as offline for Cloud Print to work.

Connect your classic printers with Google Cloud Print - Google Cloud Print Help

And yes...the other cloud print option to be aware of is the PrinterShare app...which interfaces directly with OfficeSuite Pro...and is likely to give better options for documents which have complex formatting because of the printer profiles available, especially if the printer you're connecting to is not "Cloud Ready".

^Great info, thanks!! :)

I think the link is good enough - it's copyrighted, it's a trial, we could get complaints from them if we post the apk and the trial expires, for example.

In any case, I really like OfficeSuite Pro, so this is good news! :)

Just updated to version 7 through Google Play.
Tried to print, but still no go. Instead of the error message, I got a dialog box that said sending print job or something like that, with the spinning progress circle.
And there it sat, never did complete. Also, I can't as yet find a way to use a third party app (I use one called Cloud Print). Went into my document folder and printed from there, worked fine with the app I use.
Still some work needed, it appears.

I don't know if it will help...but check out the Google Cloud Print Help links I posted above...I found once I went through those checks I was able to get it to work where I had originally had the same issue you mentioned.

If you're still having issues...send Mobisystems support a note...they've been responsive to my inquiries this past week.

I updated to 7.0.1166 from the Store. The first time I opened OS my printer was listed (carried over from 6). I tried to connect to it, but got the spinning wheel. I cleared the cache and data, did a force stop and re-opened the app. I had to sign in to Google and re-add the printer. I was then able to connect and print.
