I agree... that blue is gorgeous and don't understand why they can't sell it universally. Don't feel as bad about covering up black/white and the screen protector S-Pen problem is real (didn't consider that).

Make sure you report back and let us know how it goes for you!

I definitely will, Rob. I hope others will do the same.

By the way, I am going to be six kinds of ticked off if they offer that blue version in a couple of months.

Oh, you definitely don't want to drive with these things on! In fact, I strongly advise against driving while using any headphones or earbuds! These Bose 35s, though, are flat-out remarkable, and they absolutely blow away every other headset I've ever used. Ever.

Ever.

:D

On another note (no pun intended), I looked at the reviews for the I-Blason glass screen protector for the Galaxy S8+ as an indicator of what to expect from the Note 8 version... I was so put off that I removed it from my cart. Apparently, a lot of owners are having trouble with random cracking for no reason! So that's off my list.

Thank you. I have that in my cart in Amazon. I am likely going to switch to the spigen protector. I saw a spigen ad on my facebook page advertising a bundle deal- spigen case gets you 40% off the screen protector.
I already have a spigen case in the cart, so it looks like Ill take the deal on their protector too. To redeem the offer use promo code BUNDLEN8

THIS OFFER ENDS TODAY!

I am ordering the Neo-hyrbrid case and the protectors for a total of 22 dollars and change. Nice deal I think.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered the Spigen case and screen protector.

Can the phone even access all that space though? I read somewhere it can only read up to 256gb.

I have a USB slot in my car that says it only supports up to 4gb, so when I put a 32gb stick in there back in the day, I noticed it omitted approx 20 folders worth of music. So now I use my 256gb card in my phone to store my music, and stream to my car via BT. I often wonder if it even reads all of that as I have about 16gb of music, and I hear the same songs over and over again on random play, and some songs I never hear at all. Sure they show up on my phone, but my car may not see them. Not sure how to find out as my car doesn't have an advanced display.

I was wondering that as well. My husband bought a 256 GB for an earlier Galaxy (maybe the 4?) and it caused all kinds of problems. It was Sandisk and not Samsung, and I always wondered if that was the problem. Anyone with better experiences?

I think the later Android versions can access external storage up to 1 TB. I know the Note 4 was rated for 128GB but it took a 256GB card just fine. I don't expect the Note 8 to have any problem reading it. The only reason it was advertised as having up to 256GB external storage was because, at the time, that was the largest card out there.

could have been a fake SD card. Sandisk are perhaps the most counterfeited SD card maker of them all.

I took another look at the Alcantara case for it (curse you, insomnia) and it appears that the corners sort of wrap around to the front of the screen JUST ENOUGH to hit the ground first instead of the screen. Maybe that will be protection enough. And it's stylish!

I've been looking at the Samsung "rugged," but I'm not sure it really does enough for the screen.

This one may do a better job protecting the screen, but it's so ugly!

This is similar to what I'm looking for for work, something hard wearing just until get home, then it's coming off to appreciate :)

Its quite possible. Even amazon sellers have had fakes so i only pick up Sd cards directly from "ships and sold by amazon" rather than 3rd party sellers.

I ordered a sandisk card once on eBay some years ago. It was high capacity and super-cheap. It had sandisk branding and packaging, so i bought it. Got it and ran that program and it failed right out the gate. Seller did not refund my dough but fleabay refunded my money.

Yep. Unscrupulous dealers (mostly in one part of the world) will take an 8GB card and format it, and change the properties of the card to read 128GB. Buyers will load it up and see that it has a 128GB capacity... but once they hit that 8GB limit, photos and files start disappearing from the face of the earth, never to be seen again. So (a) make sure your card is legitimate; and (b) BACKUP to a PC early and often!

;)
