The Froyo update is available via Samsung Kies now. I just updated my phone this morning.

Kies will inform you of the update when it's available , until that happens the only current way to do it is using one of the leaked roms (there are plenty of guides on the net) me i'm waiting for it to come on kies......

no one really knows when it's officially going to be rolled out over kies in the uk , could be days , maybe weeks , i suspect though that we'll see it by the end of April latest...

i'm sorry to say that i spoke to samsung yesterday and they said that there are no plans to release froyo in the uk. and by no plans the support was implying that no plans meant it's not going to happen not that it's just not yet on his radar. as a result i flashed last night. se my comments in sticky thread.
if you are unhappy and bought from carphonewarehouse then there is anecdotal evidence on the web that people are getting refunds, especially if you can demonstrate the 'no gps fix' issue. (when i say anecdotal, i've seen it one one forum and the samsung uk facebook page). on the facebook page there is another guy that has had a similar conversation with samsung to what i had.
i think that samsung uk are trying to push the ACE phone and giving froyo to a cheaper rival might affect sales of the ACE.

sorry, didn't see this post (i assumed it was a question to me).
i found it easy to flash. no real issues as of yet apart from an occasional camera crash after taking a photo. you can't download the flash player as the i5800 hardware doesn't meet the flash requirements regardless of froyo being installed.
we're stuck with flash lite.
I also have I5801 on orange in UK and official Froyo firmware update is showing on Kies for me now.
