Hey folks... I'm waiting (and waiting and waiting) for video of the event to convert. Figured I would share a few pictures of official EVO cases I snapped at the event - note the cut out for the kickstand:

Whaddaya think? Gonna snag one of these or 3rd gear?
 
I'll probably get the black one. Need to find a good screen protector.
 
Looks nice...if I do decide I need a case I'll definitely consider these.
 
Is that true red? Like, Ferrari red? I'll take one of those, please.

I wonder if Zagg will have their screen protector out by launch. I've had a Zagg on the trusty Ocean for THREE LONG YEARS and it's flawless.

I seriously need some reward for holding out this long for an Android phone. Sprint?
 
Are they plastic or does it have like a soft rubber feel? Did they happen to mention anything about the price for these cases as well?

I really like the look of them and would consider buying one.

If it's anything like the screen on my Hero a screen protector isnt needed. The screen is already scratch resistant.

I know the input on the screens and software are different but the outside of it might be the same. Plus the screen on my Hero is very smooth and slick to the touch. If your finger is damp its like trying to slide rubber across it. Screen protectors made my Hero's screen worse in my eyes.

Totally agree. The Hero screen scratch resistant coating is probably one of the best on the market. There is no need at all for a protector on it. That being said, the Evo has such a big, beautiful screen that I would fear for it's safety regardless and probably put a protective screen shield on it.

You are my hero. For reals. I lied earlier. I didn't have the same one for 3 years. I had it until it got yellow from UV light last year, and then traded (under warranty) for a new one. So, yeah, call me a liar. ;)

This company ROCKS! I'm going to go buy a protector right now, and HOPE i get the phone. Serious, they're that damn good.
 
I'm digging the ones at the bottom but we will see. It is gonna be a big phone to begin with so I don't want to make it any bigger. Still, it's also gonna be a big *glass* screen so maybe a plastic case is worth it.
 
Will probably have multiple cases (leather/belt for biz and events, hard case for outdoor/commuting) but I'm hoping to get a Fullbody Films clear guard for the whole device. If I can't get FB, I want something as good that's not Zagg - FB's so much nicer and clearer.
