Official Orange UK and 2.1 update thread

updated last night fairly painless. Just a drag configuring your phone again?
Not had time to properly explore but one thing i noticed? why no Exit option to back out when browsing websites? am i missing something?
Also main point i write. any orange user with an Orange.net email having trouble setting up?? cannot do it at all. i get the msg
"Cannot connect to server (err this connection refused because you have too much connection on the server???
The nice orange man in Karachi was no use, just got the stock answer turn off phone, remove battery, sim, Memory card? wait 1/2 hour. recite the lords prayer in latin, turn on should work!

I did the update last night using SEUS and it worked like a treat until I tried to restore my data. I have three separate back-ups and none of them are being read properly. The memory card in general isn't being read properly which is probably the reason why it can't do this. I've spoken to orange almost continuously since last night and they are clueless as to why it's not restoring contacts. Although on one occasion I had to explain what a memory card was to technical support!! Not good!! 
So do the update but back everything up so you have copies everywhere and use things other than the supplied program as well!!

I had no problem using the backup and restore app on the phone
