Root Official Questions/Requests/Comments thread for the Casio C771 self-support guide

Hello all,
This is the official thread for everything related to the Casio C771 self-support guide. Here you can ask questions about the guide, comments, requests to have stuff added, and so forth.

Wilster how's it going? :)
I'll keep it short, I know people are always knocking on your door.
I tried to partition my SD card the mini-partion tool and 2SD app following the instructions of some knob on U tube. I only went with this method because it's non root.
I'm doing everything I can to save space, using older smaller apps, etc. But as G play grows...
Can it be done non-root, can you tell me how.
Nooooo, I'm not gonna' root, with one exception. I saw in an old post you suggested 1 click or Klingo. The idea of just plugging in and letting the sofware do the work is attractive but I can't find one example of these type of programs working on c771. I'm guessing the jump from 2.2 to 2.3.3 has made rooting more problematic on this phone.
I'm not really interested in a custom ROM, and I know you worked hard on yours, so if I was... buy Cynogen, a development group I didn't know about until a few days ago has gone big.
They have a ton of ROMs, except for our hand-granade, but the interesting thing is they have, or had a self-installer, that included rooting.
Dummy proof is in my wheel house:)
Note: they have ROMs for much more niche, less popular phones. I kinda' get the feeling that no one wants to bother with c771. It must be one tough nut to crack. But I did notice a droid Rom had all the same crap as our phone. Yet I also read Moto own Casio. ????
I digress, CM recently had to take down the installer due to "security issues", and are trying to challenge Googgle. Hmmm....??? The IT posts I read were like the GOP convention, real ugly.People really dug in either pro one way or another. Both sides getting nasty, like sacrilege was occurring... Nerd Rage:)
I learned something though. Android was originally and independent development group and Google bought em'. And now android is a bit propitiatory/Big Brotherish. I guess that's why I can't load old android ASOP apk apps?
So in a way CM seems to be trying to do what Google did. I think they may be the "stock" OS on a few new phones. Google not happy! Droid politics:)
Anyhow do you know anything about CM's currently down installer or any other installer that actually works?
Again, non-root SD partition in number one on my list.
But if someone has dummy proofed rooting I'm open.
Hope the gz1LTE is treating you good:)
Be cool, stay in school!

Hey man,
I think i replied to this on my google youtube page, it seems familiar, but i don't mind replying again ;)
I personally have not ever dealt with Cynogen, so i can't vouch for them. I know nothing about their installer exept that both casio phones arn't supported. Honestly tho, who would want to extend support to a device that only a handfull of people use, and the OEM themselves don't even make/support it anymore?
Making an sd-partition can only be done as long as you are rooted, as far as i know, but you can use App2Sd to move compatible apps to the sdcard.
