I'm trying to get my sister-in-law, who has a white GS3, a pink Samsung flip cover for Christmas. On Samsung's site, they come out to $47 with shipping and tax, which is ridiculous for a case. I naturally went to Amazon to check what they had and found $27 "official" flip covers with free shipping. Great deal. I read a few reviews and found that these are NOT genuine Samsung cases and are instead poor quality knock-offs. Is there any place to buy the official cases online that are cheaper than $47? Thanks!

have it in white I love it!
BUT if a knockoff means less quality, go with the samsung. Ipaid $49 for mine and the edge seal has pulled off (like a thead) and the back is chipped after 5 months of abuse.
Despite all that I will buy another case like it before any other. I was hoping the price woud go down.
Useful tip: grime and stains can be removed and looks almost like new (white gets DIRTY) I use a Mr Clean Eraser with the grain. Just keep it away from the camera lens on the back.
PS it has fallen and come apart on my concrete garage floor 3-4 times. Screen is still perfect.

Be careful with this cover though. It does not protect the phones edges if it's dropped. My phone has dents on the corner and the paint was removed across the front face around the camera because it opened up during a fall.
Thanks for the suggestions and advice guys. I checked Sprint and Verizon's website and both show the smart cover at $40 as well prior to tax and shipping. I did stumble upon this site which has them for under $30. Do you think these are legit? Amazon shows the same official picture for theirs, but the reviews claim the product delivered isn't what is shown. The reviews on this site are much more positive. Thoughts?

Just checked e-Bay. There are plenty of these OEM (SAMSUNG) flip covers for $18-$25 w/free shipping, from sellers w/extremely high customer ratings. (99%+).
e-Bay has you covered in the event the product isn't to your satisfaction. It's definitely worth a look.

I purchased what was supposedly a genuine samsung battery from an Amazon seller, and it turned out it wasn't (it was obvious as soon as I took it out of the package). I finally got a good one from the site you linked above, and shipping was quick, too.
