Here's what I'm wondering. Sprint is on CDMA. Their "world" phone last year was the Motorola Photon Q. And the year before that, it was the original Motorola Photon. The original Motorola Photon had an unlocked and exposed SIM card slot. Last year, the Photon Q had a covered/hidden SIM card slot and from what I remember, the Note 2's SIM card slot was hidden as well.
With all the talk, I wonder if Sprint will hide the SIM card slot, forcing people to use their ridiculously priced roaming charges or if they'll leave it like they did with the original Photon, so that people can use a local SIM card, when travelling in other countries. I'm hoping that they didn't make slight tweaks to the physical design, preventing access to the SIM card, but knowing their were other tweaks that US providers made (to block functionality, like the wireless charging pins), part of me feels we'll see a similar scenario as in the past.
That's another reason I'm very curious to see exactly where/how the qi wireless charging pins work on the Note 3. For those of you that do have it already, it'd be great if you can post up pics with the battery cover off and battery out, so that when the US variants are released, we'll be able to determine if everything is seemingly in the same place (and also determine if the wireless charging covers will even work with all the US variants).
