Official Swype on Incredible discussions

Not sure if its been posted or not but just wanted to say that swype on the inc is great it works just like designed and every one should give it a try
 
ya i just installed it a few hours ago, took me a few texts to get use to it...but i love it now. if your having trouble getting use to it i urge you force your self to use it for a whole day, after you get the hang of it its awesome!

I'd like to know this too. I downloaded it from a link that someone posted in this forum. I installed it and when I first tried it, it said "You are using version of Swype not designed for this device. As a result, you will have limited functionality."
 
The only thing I don't like is when I'm sending an email or on googletalk I can't use voice to text. On handcent sms, I can. Other than that its great.

the link above is the only place i could find since they closed beta testing on their web site. it works fine for me....

How do you actually configure your phone to use the swype keyboard? I tried selecting it in the options for keyboard, but everytime I tried to compose an email or send a text message, I just got the default keyboard.
 
Do a google search for "blackswype" and there are some links to custom versions of Swype with black keys and your choice of highlight colors located at cyanogenmod. The black with red highlight version is a perfect fit for the incredible.

after its installed and enabled in settings open a keyboard on a text or something then long press the where you type and choose swype for input method.
