Offline Gmail

As far as I remember back the standard gmail app from google works offline. Have you tried it?

If it did not come with your phone or you need to reload it, you can find it on the Play Store.

I can read downloaded mail while offline and create new messages that will be sent once I am back online.

Assuming you mean an app that stores mail on the phone (as receiving/sending without net is a tough ask ;)) then K9 will do that.

As gtbarry says the gmail app will do this but you need to set it to sync labels.

Open Gmail menu>more>settings>then select the account under account settings >sync inboxes & labels

Under quantity select no of days to sync then for each label select sync none, x days, or all.

I hope that helps,

Nick

Some cool tips!!
I use the gmail app too and it allows me to edit mail offline.

Now, on the otherhand, my gmail app sometimes fails to send me push notifications.
Why does that happen?
