I accidentally synced my Facebook acct. to my Samsung Admire. Now Instead of just having my phone contacts listed, I have ALLLLL my FB friends in my phone!! How to I remedy this?:eek:
 
I had been trying, without success, to un-sync my Facebook from my Admire. I finally got so frustrated that when I saw something on my screen that said "unistall" I touched it & deleted Facebook altogether from my phone!!!! Can anyone PULLLEEEEZZZE help this dimwit before I do something that can't be undone!!:(:(:(
 
The only way I'm aware of to completely remove FaceBook from any phone that it comes preinstalled on is to have a rooted device. If you are rooted then the only thing that will happen is that the contacts associated with facebook will disppear.

Ok, I was able to get it from the market, but I'm still stuck with trying to figure out how to unsync my phone & fb. I just might as well face it...I'm too dumb to have a Smart Phone. LOL!:D
 
I wouldn't say you are too dumb - you are new and learning. :D

To unsync try going into Settings, then Accounts & Sync, FaceBook should be in there and you should be able to uncheck the box next to it.

You're too kind...lol I went to account & setting...everything is unsynched but I sure still have e everyone...& I mean everyone listed there. lol:eek:
 
You have two options now - you can either manually delete the ones from facebook that you don't want OR you can try going into Contacts (or People if that's what it's called) and go into the settings on that. There should be an option to uncheck the facebook contacts. They'll still be there but you wouldn't see them.
 
Go to your contacts and hit menu choose "Display options" and select Contacts with phone only. Then go into the fbook apparently settings and choose to sync only with current contacts. Should be the 2nd option of 3.
 
Wouldn't logging out of Facebook on the App remove all synced contacts? When you log out It says "Logging out will remove your Facebook Data from this Phone" You would think Synced contacts would be part of the data removed...
 
Old or not.....if you go to your syncing options, you get a couple. Choose the one that says, "Sync with existing contacts". This will only sync with contacts already in your contact list.
 
Just merge your existing contacts with the facebook ones that you want on the phone..you have to do that one at a time, which sucks....after you do that use the multi select,to delete the ones you dont want...:)
 
I'm not sure how relevant this post is anymore, but I did the same thing. I just uninstalled my FB app and soft reset my phone and everything was fine.
 
have you tried going into the options and going to the contacts section? or perhaps go to the browsing settings And clear cookies.also I'm pretty sure you can MANUALLY remove each friend from contacts (might be stressful if you have many)
