This is a slightly modified version of something I posted as a response earlier.
I was a first day preorder, supposed to have it on the 13th. Be warned, if you sign for it in the FedEx app it doesn't let the driver know, so they will still be looking for an actual signature. I ended up not getting mine until Friday. That is a FedEx problem, not the FedEx drivers fault. Make sure you cut them a break. The handheld device says they need an adult signature, they are trained to not release it without it.
It's great so far, but I haven't really played with it. I forgot to put it on the charger last night, woke up and still had 80% battery after all day use yesterday and sitting idle (well, never really idle, but just sitting there) overnight. Caveat, I'm not real hard on phones. Under display fingerprint scanner is at least on par with my S20, occasionally it tries to convince me its as fast as a regular (not under glass) FP scanner. Other times it won't recognize my prints, but IIRC that's normal behavior and gets better over time. If I have chance today I'll register the same prints a second time to see if that helps. Facial recognition seems to work great, albeit silently. I mean, it gives no indication that it works, but your phone is unlocked, which may whats fooling me into thinking the FP scanner is working so well.
Screen is nice and clear, and as expected it works well. I haven't played at all with the camera yet, but I can't wait to start deleting people I don't like out of pictures.

Another discovery. Amazon app store apparently isn't compatible, so if there is anything you rely on from there plan ahead. It's a bummer for me as I have some brain dead games from the FAOTD era that I still play, but not the end of the world. I know Amazon has largely abandoned it, but I expect it will be updated soon enough.
So you can't install the app store apk?

Cant you just get on Amazon with a browser?
Amazon yes, and the Amazon shopping app works. It is the Amazon App store. And the apps do a check against the app store before they will run, so even getting the game apks I want they won't run.
