Help ok, i need help with the 3500 mah "Chinese"

yes, i've orded the chinese version of the 3500 from Ebay. finally got it after 2 months. I see very little differance, it doesn't even go the full 8 hours while im at work. and this is with background data off, no 4g, and wifi on. I'm not even using it that much. So whats the secret? Could someone help me out. I see people saying they are getting 2 days on the 3500 battery but i can't even get 8 hours with moderate use.

please help!

Your "moderate use" may be "heavy use" to another user, Roddy. ;)

But there are things to check on and modify for optimum resource and battery savings. Manual syncing on demand rather than autosync. Manual updating of news and weather apps rather than background updating. PRL updating via *22899 to be sure your radio is not constantly seeking a signal when roaming, etc.

There are apps in Market which give detailed info on what is using resources. Also, the about phone area has a battery menu item which shows in a graph with percentages what is using the most battery, which is usually "display," i.e. brightness, etc. ;)

I bought one of those. It lasts about 13 hours with 4 hrs of MP3 and most of the non-essentials turned off. Better than the stock but not that much better. I wish there was a battery that can last 24 hours with everything turned on. Maybe the $60 battery from Seidio do really last that long....Im still not convinced. Really really frustrating.

Thanks trader.. I'm tempted to try studio.. I need better battery... this sucks.
 
If you can root the phone, I think there are solutions to at least double your battery life. But I haven't gone that route. Yet.
