Root Ok...is thus the correct way to get to GB??

So Im currently running 2.3.340 on android version 2.2.1.
Im am rooted using Z4root.
I have superuser and Droid X bootstrap installed. I also and using Launcher Pro cause I HATE moto Blur...

A few quick questions.....

1) Will the phone be "faster" with GB? Internet and picture scrolling, etc?

2) I read the new leaked version thread. It says to use D2 bootstrap? Do I have to download that?

3) And the link in that thread says to download 3 files to the SD card. Each "file" has 3 different mirrors? Which one do I download??

4) Could ANYONE who knows how to do this please take 45 sec to give me a quick list of what to do....make it in stupid people terms (me) PLEASE!!!

1. Yes, but each phone is different so the variance in speed will differ from phone to phone.

2. Yes. I've heard DROID x Bootstrapper will work if debugging is unchecked, I think. But I use d2 bs and its fine with no differences.

3. You must download all three, from whichever mirrors you choose, and install them in order. Do not exit Bootstrapper or do anything else until all three are installed. You should also use the latest sbf before doing this (im pretty sure it's 2.3.340).

4. Sbf, root and dl bootstrapper (d2) and nothing else, put the three files at root of sdcard and boot into recovery to install the files in order. Im pretty sure that should do it for you.

Great! Thanks! So just download all 3 files to the SD card. doesnt matter which "mirror". Open up D2 Bootstrap, boot into recovery, install files from sd card, and then im good to go???

Yeppers. Oh and you may want to use bootstrapper to wipe data before and after the install just to be sure. Some people have issues with syncing and the market afterward. Let us know how it goes.
