OK LETS HAVE SOME FUN! (and an experiment!)

We don't want anyone we meet here on this forum to be unhappy (ever), so accounts will process a full refund as goodwill. In the app description it does state that Windows Home editions does not support RDP (in fact no RDP app will connect to Windows Home of any flavour for everyone's reference!),

Thanks for the refund, I appreciate it. I was reading through the forum, found this thread, checked out the Imperio app and was excited enough to jump right on the paid version. I like supporting developers of great software so in many cases I don't research it enough before "jumping in."

I recently bought a new PC with Windows 7 (had been using WinXP for an eternity) so I just assumed things would work.

If I ever upgrade I'll give Imperio another shot. One thing is for certain, as others have said, Imperio support is excellent! You didn't have to refund me because I should have done a better job researching compatibility instead of assuming things, but you did anyhow. Thank you again!

Just downloaded app. Just trying to get the client app on my laptop (W7 64bit).

Seems to think Dot Net 4 isn't installed just forcing another update even though WU seems to think laptop is up to date.

I'll post back once I get laptop restarted.

Finally got Dot Net 4 on the laptop, setup the options but getting connection refused. Now I'm using Logmein to access the same laptop at work so can't think there is an issue with gaining access. I'm going to test with my machine at home, again W7 Pro 64 bit and see if that works OK.

OK will do.

Have got this to work at home no problem just one thing I've noticed when I've accessed from my SGS and then log back onto the PC the icons on the screen get rearranged.

All good antoknee ;)

For the icon thing up the resolution a bit on the Imperio mobile client, sounds like you are viewing it all a bit too close up!

Great hearing from you and always happy to help...

Sorry just after posting kind of thought that might be an idea.

I'll give it a try and post outcome.

Do you think that might be reason I'm getting strange screen position if I rotate the phone from portrait to landscape?

When rotated the desktop is partly of the phone screen and only way to get it to show properly is to drop the connetion and reconnect.

Use pinch zoom of the remote machines screen...what we made it for, to let you get everywhere you want ;)

OK maybe I didn't explain properly.

Once the screen has rotated there seemed to be no way to get the who of the desktop to show. The desktop was off to one side and pinch/zoom didn't make any difference.

I'll have a play some more today if I get time and see if I can reproduce the effect.

OK just finished watching the win by United, sorry if any Arsenal fans are here, and just had another play.

Changing to correct resolution, same as PC then switch between landscape/portrait is OK. When it was set to fit to screen switching to landscape desktop only filled half the screen and zooming in the res was low so text was unreadable.

Only slight irritation now is that the adverts cover the Start button in landscape mode.

Hi antoeknee, some might say that's the perfect ad placement :-) Upgrade to Pro for advertising free!

Very honestly and publicly the only reason Imperio 'lite' which is free, exists is to give people a taste, in the hope they like our work enough to get the full version, which I can tell you our hearts, soul, minds and lives went in to for 1 1/2 years ...and still does!

Our thanks go to everyone who becomes a full customer :)

I installed Imperio Lite on my Android 2.3.4 phone, installed the desktop client using the key that I got from the site, setup port forwarding, fixed the firewall rules to allow the imperio server external connections... But I still can't access my desktop from my phone.
With all this setup, most of it without a clear cut guide, I'm still not getting any results. Does this even work? I have Windows 7 Enterprise on my computer.
Till now, its all been just a big waste of time. I don't mean to be so pouty but I just spent 4 -5 hours in all of this.

Desperately seeking help on this.

Wondering of your motive here dj9816 - first we heard about it? What is your real name and we can line you up with some stellar support...:-)

My motive is as everyone else's - To connect to my laptop remotely with my phone.
Not sure what details you're looking for.

I have the Lite (free) version since I wanted to try it out first before purchasing. If I could get help in getting it working, that would be great.
I just opened ticket # 111112-00343 for my issue. Hope that gets me somewhere.

Thanks for replying, though. That was quick.

Real pleasure...we will pick your ticket straight up and help you out  just found it a little strange that we have our support details everywhere yet you open an account and post here first that was all..if we don't know you need help...how can we help you....

Support will contact you soon to help you out dude ;)

Fair point.. I posted at both places at about the same time.. I guess I should have waited longer for a reply to the ticket.
This 'connection timed out' thing has totally fried my brains, man.
I just wanted to be helped. No other 'intentions'. :)
