Root ok, so i think i messed up

droid x, i rooted and installed apex. problem is i forgot my google account info so missing stuff, now im having problems trying to get back to complete factory settings

If you're pointing out, that GMail is needed to complete activation on first run after factory reset on first run, you have to enter GMail account informations. You have to remember it, otherwise you're lost, if you forgot just password, reset it:

ive tried that way it still loaded up in the apex, now im getting a screen since i tried to go back to 2.2 ota.

Ok, now I understand you problem, flashing failed and you're stuck in bootloader. I've googled some posts which can help you:

which OTA did you try to go back to? did you try to SBF? if so, did you use the 2.3.340 (2.2.1) sbf?

if you tried to flash the 2.3.15 (2.2) sbf, you're looking the the most expensive paperweight motorola currently manufactures.

Sorry, but I vote for paper weight.

I did the same thing. I was able to get into recovery mode (press power and menu simultaneously after battery out for a few seconds). I was able to load my backup from there.

Edit: I meant "Home".

yeah, fml right ? new one from Verizon in 1-2 days

i strongly recommend an up to date sticky going step by step so this doesn't happen to other people,needs to have the current sbf files and not the old ones :/
