My Keyboard is set to English (United Kingdom) but I cannot find a

when the keyboard is showing alphabets, press "12#" in the lowermost row on the right side and then press "1/2" in the lowermost row on the left side.

The new Swiftkey X finally put pound on the front page, used to frustrate me too having to go into the extra characters
But now I have to go into it for the $ sign!
