Root Okay to restore pre 2.5 radio Nandroid backup to updated phone?

I have a nandroid backup of 2.1 with radio 1.x I have gone to unrevoked forever and updated the radio to 2.5

Will I brick my phone is I restore the 2.1 backup or will I just have 2.1 with current 2.5 radio?

You need to do more than just a nandroid restore...Nandroid restore does not touch the radio.

My apologies for not being clear. I am not trying to revert the phone back to stock. I am happy being fully rooted.

I just want to compare the speed of my old 2.1 setup to my new 2.2 setup. Different desktops etc. I am pretty noob to this but even removing some bloatware on FrankenROM I have tons more usable space with my 2.1 setup according to ATK.

I'm not sure if it makes any real speed difference.

I'm fine if the radio remains 2.5

I hope I have provided clarity.
