Help Old emails constantly re-appearing

I have recently got a Samsung 3, and set up my outlook email account. However, it is constantly re-uploading emails from 2-3 months ago as new emails.
Any ideas how I can stop this?

You could try and clean up your email by deleting or putting those old emails into folders, otherwise you could try and change the sync settings in outlook, i have never used outlook on mobile, but if you set the sync date to like 30 days, which you can do on Gmail, that probably should fix it.

I've downloaded the hotmail app and will try using that for now - hopefully this will sort it out.

this always happens to me and it's ******* annoying to say the least. This is on the HOTMAIL app too. I'll read an email and a few days later it still comes up. So annoying. I've resorted to deleting them it's becoming that annoying. No working solution at the moment.


Only thing I can remotely think of why this might be causing it is syncing over 3G and then resyncing over wi-fi or even launching outlook on my pc (which is linked to my hotmail account) which then still see's them as unread and so when my phone syncs it then sees them as unread again?

Either way..somethings not working correctly
