Help Old Fashioned "Resistive" display?

Dajer

Lurker
A family member has a physical condition that causes significant hand tremor. The tremor makes using a modern "touch" screen display very difficult and frustrating as the tremor causes his fingers to often touch the display inaccurately, especially when trying to type on the onscreen keyboard.

My first "smartphone" had a "Resistive" display where I had to actually press on the display rather than just touch. I am thinking a resistive tablet display would be less frustrating for him to use as it wouldn't register most accidental touches.

Does anybody know if any tablets with resistive displays are still available anywhere? AliExpress had a few phones with that type of screen but no tablets I could find.
He does use an auxillary physical keyboard at his desk but it would be nice to have a device he could carry around.

I don't think any exists any more. Resistive displays had too many limitations, like they are inherently incapable of multi-touch features. You could try having him use a stylus if he can hold one.

Regarding chanchan05's suggestion on a stylus, a dual tip stylus like this one will work on both capacitive or resistive screens. I know someone who has what sounds to be a similar issue with his hands, a stylus makes things easier. He has an external touchpad (resistive) on his desktop PC, and his daughter who looks after him has a Tab 3 (capacitive) that he uses occasionally.
