I know it will fit but will it work ok??

here are the specs. I've heard a few people say that it overheats the battery??

Input 100-240V ~50/60Hz .2A

output 5.1V .7A

Thanks!

I can verify that it works, although the rate of charge is slower. I've been using my old Dare's charger to charge the Incredible at work since launch day.

Thanks! Works for you with no overheating issues? Have you tried your old dare car charger also?

I also was a dare owner, and can confirm no issues with the old chargers.

Also, keep in mind that with the phone drawing less current (.7A vs 1A), it should be a little cooler while charging (but will take longer to reach full charge).

yeah, that's exactly what I thought but I heard from one person on another board that he had overheating issues. Didn't make sense.

While he may have had overheating issues, it shouldn't be from the charger (unless the charge was defective, and had a short, which is possible). It could be a defective battery or phone, or eve just a buggy software reading. But i wouldn't worry either way; if you don't overheat with a 1A charger, .7A will be just fine. :)

The only problem w/ the Dare charger is it shows on the Inc that it is charging via USB. Some other threads have stated that this means it is charging at 500 ma and not 700. Either way it is sloooow. Seems to charge as fast as when I connect it to my PC.
