Older Version of Yahoo Mail

Switched on Wi-Fi on my Wildfire and decided to take advantage of the updates available for the software I have installed. When it came to Yahoo Mail, it launches, allows me to sign in but just loops with 'loading'. Kept it on for over an hour but still 'loading'.

What do I need to do to get this version of Y Mail to work?

Using Android 2.2.1
 
I used to have trouble with my yahoo app and email all the time and then I Switched to using gmail as my default email and I never have problems with it. Also, I found out that on a professional level Gmail has a higher respect than yahoo mail. Seriously yahoo mail is a thing of the past and will eventually fade away just like cassette tapes.
 
Thanks for that. During my research for help elsewhere, the opinion generally seems to be the same as yours. Gmail's the way to go!
