Help On screen ads

[chaitu 685]

Hi guys, my name is chaitanya and i am using one plus one mobile with android version 5.1.1 and i am facing this on screen ads issue over a few months, i tried installing some addon detection apps and also various anti virus apps but nothing helped. Whenever i connected to internet (mobile data or Wifi) i am getting a small strip of this ad, like which i uploaded with this thread. Please suggest me how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance

A lot of that lately. Do you remember what the last app you installed was before this started? Anyway when it happened to me I did a factory reset and reinstalled everything I had before it started happening.

Hi here's a heads up my friend started having ads on a brand new phone after updates and apps all from the playstore. Started removing the newest apps thinking it was that, still got ads. Our conclusion was it was the android system Web view disabled it and never got an ad again. If you have that try disabling it. Hope this helps.

I saw that but I already had a newer version when it happened. I hadn't experienced any app crashes, just ads. Your advice should work but what about legitimate pop ups? Wouldn't disabling that shut them off too?
