On the go (otg) cable support??

I just purchased an otg cable. The guy at pc outlet said it should work. I plugged the otg cable into my phone and inserted my falsh drive and nothing happened. Is otg supported on this device or am I out of a few bucks?

Use USB OTG Checker to check whether your phone supports OTG. If not, you have a short USB extension cable. (The only difference is that pin 4 is connected to pin 5 on the phone end, and in a phone that doesn't support OTG, pin 4 isn't used for anything.)

just tried, no otg, and i have the proper otg with power added, no flash/kb nothing but charging from power
