Root one more set cpu?

hello new here, have made a few post but not any threads yet here goes.
rooted d2, i downloaded setcpu was just wondering what settings people use to maximize battery life, and get the best perfomance, and why it doesn't have overclock settings. it only goes up to 1000 megahertz.

i also downloaded jrummys droid overclock, and i know this is stupid but i'm not exactly sure how to overclock it with the advanced settings and will this prevent my phone from being able to be returned to stock by just uninstalling things? can anybody help me with the settings, whats safe?

I don't know about overclocking, but my SetCPU profiles are (in order of priority, from highest to lowest):

Temp > 41C 600max 300min
Screen Off 600max 300min
Charging/Full 1200max 300min
Battery <16% 600max 300min
Battery < 31% 800max 300min
Battery < 41% 1000max 300min

Does it matter what "numbers" you have the priority levels set at...or should I just "make it so they fall in that order." Also curious as to the app you have that tells you the battery life in the notification bar.

It doesn't matter what level they're at, as long as they go in decreasing order (I think?). The top app is Battery Indicator Pro, I find it quite useful.

thanks for the help everybody, i have it set pretty well i think, only thing i can find that is off is my priority levels, those need to be switched around. i was kinda afraid to play around with it much, didn't want to mess up a new phone. im coming from winmo, which i wasn't afraid to play around with, im getting used to the differences slowly but surely. i think i like droid overclock better than the set cpu don't know why, it looks like it fits the phone better plus the preset clocking levels is nice, along with all of the extras.

Hhmmm haven't seen a huge jump in battery life...maybe im expecting too much. Seems about the same. I have juice defender running too...should I disable that?

I do everything that juice defender does manually, saving me CPU cycles, saving me battery.
