I did the wire trick without a hassle on the evo v. It was EASY...Now that I'm trying it out on the evo 3d, I just can't get the timing right. So after the cmd prompt says "do wire trick now" You're supposed to tap it like for .05 seconds, LIFT FOR 1.5, then TAP for .05 and HOLD OR JUST LET GO? I'm kind of confused from what everyone is saying on different threads. I think I need to either try another sd card or just get a paper clip and get some black tape because my cable cord may be the problem. But yeah am I supposed to hold the last tap or just tap it fast and let go? THanks!

The same steps that you did on the EVO V 4G apply. You hold on the 2nd beat of the metronome (link and more thorough explanation is in my guide if you need it).
The thing is for the evo v I remember the cmd guided me, I think. Now for this other jbear cmd designed for the evo 3d , I got it from XDA, it's labeled as QADERSO, but it's pretty straightforward and has no metronome from what I can tell. Or is the metronome just a video, if so would you mind sharing the link?
