I call into conference calls from my galaxy s4 all the time (which I love), need to know if there is a certain format for the number to one-touch dial both the number and the conference passcode, which would be exactly the same as calling a number then entering an extension. With my old blackberry, I could scroll over the number, the device would recognize the whole string (e.g. "1-888-391-9999 x234780#") and with one click, could dial the conference bridge number, plus the passcode would be entered. Is there no way to do this on an android?

Yes. There are two options for dialing. There is "pause" which is only about a second....and "wait" which waits for you to implement the second string of numbers. Pause is a comma ( , ) and wait is a semi-colon ( ; ) In some cases the pause isn't enough....for voicemail I put in two pauses before entering the PIN.

So for example, in your case you would save the number as...

1-888-391-9999,,234780#

If you find that the pause wasn't long enough just add more commas. If the length of time is too variable on the other end you may need to use the wait function which won't trigger the passcode series until you are ready.

Hi, thanks for the reply... however, I tried entering the phone number as 1-888-391-9999,,234780# but my phone doesn't recognize the whole number as one string, it lets me one-touch dial (or rather two touch dial) the phone number part, but not the passcode part after the pause. I tried it with the semicolon as well and it thinks it is two different strings or numbers.

So the best I can get is a one touch to get to the phone app with the number ready to go, then click on the phone button to dial, then manually enter the passcode. Problem is if I need to look up the passcode on my mobile, then I have to back out of the phone app to get back to my calendar to see the passcode, memorize it and then get back to the phone app and enter it manually. Ugh!

Hoping there is an easy way to dial conference bridge numbers from my phone (which I love).
