Help One X slight screen flicker

Hi there everyone,

This is my first post on here! I purchased a HTC One X yesterday and am loving it after being with iPhones for the past 3 and a half years!

The only problem i am experiencing is a slight screen flicker every now and then, mainly after touching the screen for a selection etc. I have read some articles on the net and lots of people are saying it was cured for them on a recent update. I have updated my phone and have attached a screenshot of what software my phone is running in order for someone to help me as i'm quite concerned that it may possibly be the hardware itself! :(

Does it flicker at any brightness level? Maybe another app is making it flicker. Try going through your list of running apps and disable anything you recognize that you have installed and isn't a required system process. Other than that I wouldn't lose any sleep over a slight flicker every now and then. Another option is to return the phone to the vendor for an exchange since it is brand new. Good luck.
 
It flickers at any brightness level and i have nothing running that is unnecessary. I would take it back although i have read about lots of people having the same problem, i say 'flicker', it's more like a slight change it brightness and then it returns to the level it was at, all in milliseconds. I know it shouldn't bother me, but when this is HTC's superior phone, people shouldn't be experiencing problems like this. Maybe it will fix once Jellybean is available!

You are correct, the screen flicker was a known issue and was supposed to be fixed with the 1.29 update. How long have you had the 1.29 Software version? After it was applied, it was supposed to take anything up to a week for the screen to recalibrate itself and stop flickering.
 
Hi there! I only downloaded updates yesterday as soon as i booted it up (I bought it second hand grade A from CEX) so wasn't sure if it had ant custom rom on it or what not. From the screenshot does it look to be all ok? I'm quite surprised it can take time to re-calibrate! Never heard that one before! As long as it sorts itself out though then that will be awesome! Am loving the phone so much! A real power horse :)
