If you wait till then, you might as well hold out till September for the note 4. Why buy a phone 2 months before it gets updated?
 
the whole OnePlus One saga, looks to me, more and more, like a fiasco. I think this will be their only One phone they will ever get to sell. On their website it says you can't buy it, but then all sorts of small online Chinese shops, sell the phone. How does that work?!? They sold the idea that this phone was built for and with Cyanogenmod, and then the majority of the phones built come with Oppo's ColorOS ?!?!

the version made for china does have color OS and the phones sold by online shops are the chinese version 16GB.
 
It looks like phones are going out today.

We did choose to delay the shipment of the first phones in order to make sure the software was secure and provided the best possible user experience. The CyanogenMod team worked very quickly and efficiently and the Open SSL issues have already been fixed. The first OnePlus Ones ship to early users with invites as early as tomorrow.

This still doesn't solve the problem of people not seeing invites in the wild, and many are wondering if we'll see general availability by the end of the month as promised.
 
Should be able to load CM11s straight onto the Chinese ColorOS phones. AFAIK they're the same phone, it's just a different default OS. And according to oneplus.cn you can.

Hehe I assumed so. I think you might have misunderstood what I was saying though. The poster I replied said if the One isn't available by July, he'd get a note 3. I just suggested if he's going to do that, wait 2 more months and get the note 4 (or save a couple hundred bucks on the note 3 after they announce the note 4).

This is another OnePlus debacle. Those who received invites where supposed to have three to give. That's not the way it's turned out. I've yet to read of anyone has any invites to give.
 
i can only assume the general availability at the end of the month will be through invitees getting their invites to share.
 
That's not "general" availability as it would still be limited by invites. General availability is when your average Joe can go to their website and order one.

getting a One without an invite won't happen for the foreseeable future but getting invites easily will happen at the end of the month.
