I'm very surprised that OnePlus didn't have an ample supply of phones. While they'll be offering pre-order I believe they won't be able to fill those orders within either Q3 or Q4. They're behind the eight ball and it's going to get ugly, thousands of unhappy buyers will challenge their ability to survive. Potential buyers are out of patience and enthusiasm.
Below is a quote from David S. at OnePlus regarding the yellow screen issue:more people have reported getting phones but it seems that in a rush to get phones out they have ignored a yellow screen issue. looks like the majority of the july batch has this in varying forms.
There are three different types of 'yellow screen' issues.
One is where the screen is evenly tinted yellow - this is actually an intended effect as warmer screens offer more true-to-life colors than bluish screens. To adjust your screen hue manually, please go to Settings > (under Device) Display & Lights > (under Advanced Settings) Screen Color > Custom > Hue.
Another is a slightly yellowish band across the bottom of the screen when viewed from unconventional viewing angles at full brightness. Our screens are lit from the bottom instead of from underneath, and to minimize bezels we place the light sources very close to the edge of the screen. To prevent excessive light leakage, the bottom edge is designed to be slightly opaque, which is why it appears yellow from certain angles.
If your screen has yellow spots that appear to expand however, please send us a photo and we'll see whether it's a hardware issue.
You might have seen photos of these issues online - most were taken at extreme angles and 100% brightness, or even doctored to increase the contrast. Actual imperfections are usually very subtle and do not impact normal usage.

We're now halfway through July with no "general availability" in sight yet? Either that or I need one of the still extremely elusive invites.
With demand so much larger than supply, its not really surprising a secondary market has opened up with people trying to turn an easy profit.there is a "shortage" of invites , yet there are plenty of units for sale on the net at higher prices and in retail stores in China. the exact opposite of lenovo/motorola phones which are built in china and sold all over this planet. i stopped drinking the kool aid last month.

I know the feeling, I have had enough myself. Curious, when did you join the forums?
Now a definite maybe...OnePlus is now planning to take pre-orders with a target start in 3Q14. This is in response to the frustration caused by the invite system.

It's all a bad experiment on their end, and a nightmare on ours. Three failed phones from them, here's the latest:the whole OnePlus One saga, looks to me, more and more, like a fiasco. I think this will be their only One phone they will ever get to sell. On their website it says you can't buy it, but then all sorts of small online Chinese shops, sell the phone. How does that work?!? They sold the idea that this phone was built for and with Cyanogenmod, and then the majority of the phones built come with Oppo's ColorOS ?!?!
