OnePlus is a startup just like us, and they are crazy ambitious. I'm not sure our long-term visions are necessarily converging based on the conversations we've had, but we're still going to support the [OnePlus] One. We're still behind them for this device, with plans to ship (Lollipop) next month, and I have no idea what the future holds beyond that. - Steve Kondik

It seems that customers in India will have to wait for OnePlus to out their own Android 5.0 ROM.

For customers outside of India, will they receive further updates or is it all up in the air as they saying goes?

The title says it all, we should be a few short weeks away from OTA. The update is now being tested by OnePlus

I have not heard anything recently in the media about CM12. One of the executives at OPO was quoted weeks ago that it would be out OTA this month. The month is half over. What is going on? Thanks

I'm not much of a fan or apologist of cm but from what I'm reading, their nightlies are very stable so I'd say there's a good chance of cm12s dropping this month

Cool. What new features are there mate and will cm12s be exactly the same as cm12 stable (custom rom)?

They've just been gradually working in the normal CyanogenMod features like theme engine, performance profiles, configurable quick setting tiles, etc. I don't know how CM12s will be different.

Cool, can't wait man I'm dying to have something new on this phone but can't get past the driver issues.
Seriously hoping opo deliver an easier way to unlock the bootloader when Oxygen OS drops

That won't help you unless you are in India because you'd have to manually flash it, requiring an unlocked bootloader. You don't have access to another computer somehow?

Certification is a Bleep.... and its not surprising that its taking time to get through that process.. I'm still not convinced that CM12s will be better than standard CM12... as it will be frozen at whatever stage it was in when it was certified... and then updates will come slowly.. whereas cm12 will keep getting incremental updates and remixes all the way through

Here's the latest on the update:

We are in the final stages of preparing the Cyanogen OS 12 ‘L’ OTA updates. We want to provide a status update on each of the relevant devices this applies to:

OnePlus One - The Cyanogen OS 12 ‘L’ OTA will be released in the next few weeks. We are currently packaging final bootloader firmware and addressing QA/QE results.

More from ciwrI at Cyanogen:
Hi folks! We received the final bootloader for the device yesterday (the ones in CM12 nightlies are non-final, some debug bits left in there that can't be allowed to reach OTA version). The device has done pretty well in QA/QE and should head for Google certification next week.

After that, we will just wait for their response/approval, and begin the OTA process. The 'few weeks' is to add padding in case Google certification takes longer.

I recognize that this isn't the February (90 day) mark that you all wanted, but with us turning the build over early Feb, followed by OP's Chinese New Year holidays & recent delivery of final bootloader - the time frame hopefully makes sense to you.

Re. the length of the Google cert. process:
Previous OnePlus releases have taken 4-5 days.
