Root Oops - I used ROM Manager

Lurker
Having successfully S-Off and rooted my HTC desire I then made the mistake of using ROM Manager to install Oxygen Custom Rom. I am now stuck on the Oxygen splash screen and don't seem to be able to get away from it. I didn't back up my old ROM before installing Oxygen. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

Well, don't use ROM Manager again. It has been known to cause many issues with this phone.

Go to XDA, here, a link because i'm nice like that.

Pick the ROM you want.

Put the ROM on your SD, in the root directory ( not in a folder ) You don't need to have it like this, it's just easier.

Phone off.
turn it on Holding Volume Down.
Select Recovery.
Factory Reset/Wipe Data
Wipe Cache.
Install from SD.
Select ROM.
Select Yes.
Done.

usually we suggest to Nandroid but you have nothing to back up it seems.

I don't know it ROM Manager Wipes your phone or anything.

Note: This will cause you to lose everything on the phone. Not the SD though.
