Help Open programs oddity issue.

First I have a Verizon unit and I am not sure it this is specific to that model or not.

There is the left lower button that you touch and it shows recently used programs. I have found that many times even though I have been using programs that it shows no programs and says no recently open programs. now if I restart my phone all of the recently started programs will be back.

Not sure what is causing this or if anyone else is suffering this?
 
I have the AT&T Note 7 and am not experiencing this issue. The recent program button (lower left as you said) consistently shows all opened programs.
 
Figured I might bump this now that some time has gone by and more people running around with Note 7s.

I have a T-Mobile version and have not had this problem. Sounds like a phone issue, not carrier. Hope you can get this fixed.
