I'm wondering if there is a way to block open feint completely without rooting my android.
OpenFeint is known malware that installs itself and manages to give itself access to your contacts, SMS, phone numbers, emails, twitter, facebook, and browsing history, which it then sells to marketing companies
Android developers need to stop bundling their apps with this secretly, and those who continue to do so without notifying the user before install should have their apps removed from the Google store, and their developer account disabled.
It is one thing to enable your app to communicate with open feint after I personally install it, its something entirely different when you are acting like a Trojan horse to slip this software onto my device without my permission.
OpenFeint is named in a lawsuit over this exact issue. I'm also curious if any Canadians out there are interested in starting a class action lawsuit against them for computer fraud, which it indeed is.
