Help Opening Cards when none are new

Hi Guys,

I'm new to Android Wear and the one thing I'm struggling with is accessing Google Now Cards when there are no active cards. When there is an active card I can swipe it up, read it, then keep swiping to see upcoming events, stocks etc but as soon as i've dismissed that card I can't access that area again (upcoming events, stocks). Is there a way to get to Google Now Cards explicitly?

I'm new to Android Wear too!
In fact I'm still playing with my watch lol!!
Looking at mine, what about keep swiping up? More cards come up? I don't have many cards (don't really use them) but other stuff seems to appear when I keep swiping up...edit: oh, then an arrow appears, then more stuff shows

Yeah I think what I've been doing is closing the whole app down rather than just hiding it, which means, when I was back at the watch face and swiped up, nothing appeared. But, I just got a notification and rather than dismissing them all and then dismissing the app I just swiped it down. Now at the watch face I can swipe up and get back to my notifications. I think thats how it should be
