Opening files

[Android Question]

How do I open downloaded files on an Android Tablet? I tried to download the user manual but keep getting the "Cant open file" error message. What am I missing on my tablet?
It is a HANNS pad ( SN14T71).

For a manual? Probably a pdf reader. To open a file you need an app that opens that kind of file. Files don't open themselves, apps open them.
