opening 'whirlwind'

Dublin

Lurker
Since my latest Android update my icons whirl in the screen, which take some time before I can click one.
I have switched 'animations' off, but this effect remains after I unlock the screen with my pin.

How can i switch this off completely?

thx

Hi Dublin, I'm guessing you've a HTC Handset and this is a part of the recent Sense 3.0/Android 2.3.5 update? Which handset in particular?

As far as I'm aware, there is no way to disable this completely unfortunately.

That is unfortunate. I'd imagine that more users would like their handset UI to be as lean & fast as possible. For those with ideas, my handset details are:
HTC desire
Android 2.3.5
Software 2.10.161.3

thx

Sooooo, actually how long do the icons swirl for until you can click one?
Sounds aggravating... With no option to disable?
Can't you just randomly press on the screen somewhere to make it stop after unlocking?

It's about a second-and-a-half, but if you are in a hurry and have conditioned yourself to go through the menu automatically it is very annoying.
