I'm new to the forums but not to android - been with android on 2 carriers and have used android pretty much since 1.6 (or maybe 1.5). I'm a huge fan of customization and have always been a huge Google fan (which sort of goes hand in hand). I've got some experience with technology - been programming since I was 11 and am currently messing around with some android apps of my own. I'm pretty much an android fanboy by now so I thought it was probably a good idea to sign up for the forums since I read so much about android anyway (pulse is filled to the rim with android news sources).
My current hardware is a Droid X (not rooted....... yet), a self built gaming pc, and (I'll probably get grief for saying it but whatever
) an iPad. Reasoning behind iPad was it's stability at this point and the student discount. I used to have a MacBook Pro but after 5 years the damn thing finally quit on me (and when I say quit I mean complete failure of mobo, hd, and network card) so instead of investing another 2800 I went with the iPad. Don't worry though I'm looking at android tablets for purchase in the near future - hopefully by summertime I'll have a few good options to look at and buy accordingly.
I'm also not that new to forums - my first was sitepoint at age 12 and over the years have accumulated thousands of posts and been a moderator about 5 times (including one big name web dev forum).
I'll probably be asking a lot of questions and speculate on pretty much anything but maybe I could help y'all out a bit.
