Help Operating system

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Samsung galaxy S3 which is running o.s. 4.3 and there is not going to be any update for it to 4.4. I have a Samsung tablet T4 running the latest android software.
I have an app that I use to transfer apps from one device to another via bluetooth and I noticed that it in the list of files it opens up is the android operating systems. I was wondering if I could transfer the operating system from my tablet to my phone. Would it work or would it muck up my phone.

Short answer its not going to work.

slightly longer answer.... its not going to work and you're going to spend a chunk of time trying to force it

ever so slightly longer answer... its not going to work, but thanks to the time you've spent trying to force it you've broken it.

Longer answer..... there are unofficial updates and upgrades... but if you do go down that route, you've got a lot of reading to do (and warranty to void)... but thats another story all together

One possibility is a custom ROM, like Cyanogenmod, S3 is well supported in that regard. You'll have some reading to do though and anything Samsung specific is gone, like Touchwiz.

Thanks for your reply. I will wait till December when I can upgrade my phone. Its just the S3 seems to get very slow.
