Root opinion on stable , fastest android rom on htc desire

Depends on the type of rom you are after, my favourites have always been dGB, redux2 and oxygen, but these are aosp, but if you are after sense teppics rooted stock rom is good along with the lee droid ones but have not tried these for any period of time, also liked elks jelly bean but this had some issues for me,
 
I've always found the 3 roms Paul mentioned to tick the boxes for stable and fast.

Currently using OxygenZM.
 
"Best" There is no "Best" as that is a subjective term, completely dependent on what you like.
 
Incredibly boring, but given the criteria those are the same 3 ROMs I'd have named (though I'd consider MildWild's variant as an alternative to Oxygen).
