Root Opinions on best Root

Hell all,I have a couple years of experience w root cwm and roms on optimus elite and galaxy phones..just got this Virgin Mobile ZTE Awe and for once im confused on the verified ways for Root and CWM on this phone..Ive been on here reading for a little bit and im at a loss ..Can it be done from just the phone no computer? and whats the most foolproof way of going about it? Thanks Id appreciate the help...My mouth is salvating looking at all the Custom Roms...Awesome job Devs!
 
There is the via device method and via pc method. I've used the device method several times without issue. Some with models bought from places like target have not been able to gain root with it. I'd say give it a try. Its fairly straightforward and quick if it'll work on your device. If not the pc method is there to fall back on.

Once u get root u will love the ROMs avable there are good devs here :)
 
Be wary of using any of the Chinese stuff. I recall reading about that root kit, while working, also installing other stuff and sending data away.
