Opinions--People that switched to the Esteem from an Evo

I am currently using an Evo 4g on Metro(and love it!) and i'm about to get an Lg Esteem in a few weeks because I want to try out the 4g LTE. The phones are nearly identical on paper so i'm wondering what people think who have done the same switch? :cool:
 
What internet speeds do you get with the your phone on Metro? Metro's 4g is not nearly as fast as Verizon. Also i don't know with your phone but with the esteem it is ridiculous how much battery this phone uses with the 4g on. I find myself using the wifi all the time. Don't get me wrong the esteem is a great phone and i love mine but the 4g on metro is pretty overrated. Think before you but it.
 
I have the esteem and metro is updating there network i lube in Brandon FL and i get 5 to 6mgbs download and about the same up it is a good phone worth the 250 the battery id bad on every 4g Android phone out the box but can be made better with root and lg esteem optimizer but every one will have there own opinion on that i don't know how to up load pics or i would show my data speeds you can check out a video i made with the speed test on YouTube search for lg esteem bloatware and new speed test
 
I really like my Esteem I also live in Brandon Fl average 4-6 up and down tampa area inside my house I even get 1-2 up and down and Metro is only getting better the best part of it is that I like having the same bill every month $55 for unlimited everything on a family plan nobody will come close so I recommend the Esteem is very similar to an evo in many ways.
 
That is the best post they are getting better and better every day my speeds are the same in Tampa well on 60 and faulkenberg where i work i get about 2 to 3 up and down
 
The esteem is a great phone and it will only get better when we get the custom recovery and roms :-) so join the esteem crew we the best.
 
I hope the development community gets as big (or even 1/3 as big) as the Evo...or i'd just be happy with a MIUI build for it(what i've been running on the Evo lately). And I kind of expect battery life issues...the Evo's battery life was terrible when I was on Sprint's network and actually used the 4g.

I had a 4g until I cracked the damn screen after using an otter box cover for 7 months. I took it off for one day and I dropped it.

Anyways I miss my evo and I think its a great phone however, I hated not having 4g on it. Before I got the esteem I was actually looking over the internet if someone got the 4g to work on it but I couldn't find any thing. So I have the esteem and I actually love it. The camera is not as good and some other small things but the internet speed makes all the difference to me.
